Wow - some great fish. I've never been on the bay fishing as I'm fairly new to the area, looks like a blast. Was this a charter?

This was indeed a charter. Wish I could afford a boat large enough to put my family and friends on. My Father in law knows this guy some how and got us hooked up. If you want info for chartering for a spring striper trip you can go to www.northstarcharter.com. The Captain's name is Butch Cornelius. When he is not running his boat on the bay he is a tug boat captain in the NY harbor. His boat is a 2004 custom built unit that is B-E-A-utiful. Easily one of the nicest boats on the bay. He is also a good teacher if you want info for techniques and locations on the bay he has no problems showing you his methods and such. If you've never been on the bay fishing you need to book a spring trophy striper trip. You won't regret it.
The picture that is under "my cousin Bob..." is him holding one of the two fish that he had on one line. I had never seen a double hook up on one line with two fish that large before. The fish he is holding was hooked on the stinger lure and there was a second striper that had the teaser in it's mouth and wouldn't let go until it got all the way to the boat. Bob weighs 90 pounds soaking wet and it took him a solid 30 minutes to get those two fish up to the boat. We were all cracking jokes about grandma getting that fish in faster and then we saw that he was pulling in two fish.
