New member, found this site when someone on another site posted a link. I see it's a new board, and I've looked thru the member list and recognize few familiar names. I've never fished Lake Anna, but would like to someday. I've crossed it several times while working, I drive a truck, but never had opportunity to fish. I fish for many species, but mostly for bass, pan fish, and Stripers. Stripers & Smallmouths are my 2 all time favorites! I live in MD, and have been fishing for more than 40 years. I use a variety of tackle, and I make a lot of my own. I hope I can contribute something useful here!

I noticed the link in Lake Anna's profile at Ultimatebass.com and checked your site out several days ago. Thought I would go ahead and sign up.
My name is Blaise and I'm a bass tournament angler in Ohio. I fish the Bass Anglers Invitational Trail through the Columbus, Central Ohio, and Mid Buckeye divisions and TBF/FLW through the Columbus Bassmasters. In the past I have fished 4 BASS Federation regionals and one Midwest Sportsman Classic. My current sponsors are listed in my siggy and I am on Sr. Staff at both Ultimatebass.com and Catcherman.com along with being active at several other fishing sites. My J.O.B. is working for Dick's Sporting Goods in Dublin, OH and have been there for over 3 years. I fish from a Champion with 175 Merc. and use Shimano reels on All Star rods mostly. I hope to join in conversations as often as I am able to pop in here.
Tight lines OHbassaholic

After fishing small lakes around my house near Quantico, VA in a small 10ft John boat, I have recently obtained a Tracker Pro 190. I have fished the Lake with my son once with very limited success (1 LM) does anyone have suggestion as to how we can go about finding a few more fish?

Welcome I think you will find a number of the guys here quite helpful in helping you out. Check out the lake anna section and see some of the reports but also ask away and we will try and help out. Personally I like the rip rap along the bridges, I fish with jerk baits like sassy shads, chatter baits and senkos and seem to do ok. I am a weekend angler but some of thesee guys fish a lot more. I like some of the creek channels where they dump in to coves, plus a lot of submerged stumps are holding some fish too. Soon they will be hugging the docks and such.

Thanks GREGT for the advice and I will do all the reading on the site that I can. I to am a weekender and occasional during the week line wetter (least ways when I can convince the boss that I need a day off.). Looking forward to the small lakes this weekend since I do not like the rocking and rolling when the speeders get on the water as they will most likely be this weekend.
