I am going to make sure I'm on the water tomorrow somewhere in the 5AM hour so I can take advantage of the top water bite. I have yet to catch a stripper or bass on Anna with one. I have 3 POP - R's one in a green orange, one black and white, and one blue and white...I also have a couple of buzz baits - In reading through the posts and reports - I think I'll come out of Sturgeon Creek and turn left toward Dike # 3. I very seldom fish this part of the lake - and always get nervous running down there as it gets real shallow in the middle about half way down. Do I go to the left or right of the buoy? If you have a chance to post any advice or recommendations on color choice where to start, etc - I'd appreciate it. I'll be in a blue Bass Tracker if you're out tomorrow.....

There are a cpl of bouys when you go that way. Keep the first one on your left and the 2nd on your right. It makes like an S. If you stay in the middle you should be ok. Straight across from sturgeon to the right of the power plant if you are looking at it there is a big cove with weeds that will put out good fish. Then the islands across from the power plant. Heading down lake toward dike three there more islands near dike 2 - the middle island has a duck blind facing north - that is a good spot - in front of the duck blind. There is some shallow water around there so watch your depth finder. The rip rap around dike 2 will put out as will the deep docks to the left of dike 2. The coves in the back of dukes creek hold nice fish also. Those creeks are deep and bass travel them.
Me and my wife are going to hit the lake about 1:00 am. We are going to throw pop'r s and spooks on main lake points and deep docks on the main lake - plan on doing that till sun up then we will hit the regular spots. We have a21' tracker party deck - tan and green. If I see ya tomorrow I will shout at ya. At sun up I will be at the bridge before Christopher Run. Working back towards the splits.
If you file the top part of the popr - above the eye - just make it a little flatter it will pop and spit water better. I like the black and white with a red hook on front - stock hook on rear. I catch more fish on the popr but bigger fish on the spook. I am not a fan of the buzz bait - don't think I have ever caught a fish on one.
Good luck - hope to see ya out there.
