I am need of replacing my live well pump - is this something I should try and get done by a pro or are they typically easy to work with. My pump is threaded through the transom and then has a hose running to the side of the boat where the livewell is. I can easily get to it and take it off but I am worried about not getting it sealed right.

If it is a standard livewell pump it shouldnt be too bad. Make sure you have plenty of adhesive/sealent for around the transom and tighten the clamp around the hose going to the livewell - other wise you will have an issue.

If it is as you say, then it shouldnt be any problem, just take Pipers word. Make sure everything is sealed up and clamped properly or you will not like the swim.
