I kayak–fished near the state park, Stubbs Bridge, Dike #3 and 208 bridge in past few Saturdays. I was fairly new to bass-fishing (freshwater fishing) and Lake Anna. I tried many lures without a bite. On the 5th day, Last Saturday (Dec 1), I bought 6 shiners from High Point marina and launched my kayak from Hunter’s Landing. I decided to slow-troll two live shiners to the north. When I prepared the second live bait, I accidentally caught a 13” large mouth bass on the first live shiner right next to a private dock. LM was not my target fish that day. I paddled (slow-live bait-trolling) toward the north without a hookup. Then I caught two stripers @18” and 16” on live shiners a half mile north from Hunter’s Landing. I still have no clue yet. Is this a good spot for December? This Saturday, should I start fishing from State Park to Stubbs bridge? Or 208 Bridge?
Tight Lines. Joe

Hello there comeonfish, I talked to you once befor about Striper fishing. The size limit I thank it was. Any how right now the Stripers that I have been catching have been around the splits. Most of the keepers have been around Jetts Island. Hope this is some help to you. But I dont use bait so this might not be any help to you. Watch the birds they will help you find them. Later
