Got on the water this morning around 6:30. Water temp was in the low 80's most the day. Had a productive day with a Rapala DT6 crankbait on the Pamunkey. I was looking for secondary points off creek channels into the main lake. I had the best luck on the windblown sides in 8 -16 ft. Wind was out of the NW 8 - 14mph - makes boat control a challenge - but well worth it today. This Bass is 22 1/2 inch 5 3/4 pound citation. - so I'm pretty pleased about that. Board is 24 in as a ref. I'll send in my verification stuff and get a certificate in the mail... ;D I had Chris at Sturgeon Creek Marina take a pic as well. Also landed a couple of 3lbers today..I only took a pic of one....tails a bit beat up from the spawn... My fishfinder looked like this most the morning. Love the big humps around baitfish - a very cool thing when you see it and then they hit what your chucking at them.. Also saw some cows cooling off as the temp was approaching 90...Sorry for the blur...
